Ok. It is official. Panic have won me over. I just watched the them on SNL and I was squeeing like crazy before I could even catch myself. It's the power of reading good fic!

Comms like bandom_awards have always been a goldmine for me when discovering a new fandom. How else can you find the best of the best all at once? How else can you catch up in some small way with all the classic fics of a fandom? I'm still a newbie for MCR and forget PATD, I'm hopelessly lost in that fandom. But, FOB, that I know. When I was going through the nominations so many of my favorites were missing! I've only managed to nominate the very first few I could get off the top of my head. The frenzy must continue...the love must be shared...just not tonight.

I think I say love too much in this journal. I guess these boys bring it out in me. Also, how was I writing college papers a year ago? I think I've gotten really horrible. I need new userpics but it would take up my computer time that I can use to catch up on fic! And I made my lovely bed one all by myself. In a month I'll be in England. Maybe in two months I will have moved to a new place and new job. Crossing my fingers now.

I'm really starting to think I have a serious best friend=true love kink. The world needs more Mike Carden/William Beckett fic. There is so very little! This is a pairing of bestest friends that started out hating each other...who moved in together....who started their band together. That is hot stuff. I mean yes, Travie is all over Beckett all the time, but he annoys the hell out of me. I want him to shut up and have Patrick sing all GCH songs. How awesome would that be? And Gabe Saporta CREEPS ME OUT. I don't find him all that attractive and the first fic I read with him in it was a cultverse fic....and that has definitely left a lasting impression. I can only think of him as being creepy with those creepy eyes! So lets keep it in the band!

I want to read Panic! but I just can't get into it. I have a weird preconceived notion that THE PAIRING is Brendon/Ryan even though now I know that is far from true. While I love Brendon, I think he looks like hot stuff and I always love his personality in fics, I don't like him with Ryan. Ryan I like to have angsting over his doomed love for Pete. No happy Pete/Ryan fics no, no, no (Pete only loves Patrick). I have yet to see the Spencer light. It may happen someday, not yet. Jon just seems like straight boy to me. Like Joe. Panic! I adore as the secondary, comic relief in crossover fics. But. Yeah. Can't get into the pretty Panic! at the Disco boys on their own. Now I feel a little bad for them.

I am totally onboard with MCR. All the pictures and videos from their tour are so hot! I mean the onstage antics of FOB are nothing compared to this. On one hand you've got cuddling and neck kissing and on the other we have full on making out, licking and crotch rubbing. Whoa. I would lovelovelove to see them. I'm really liking Black Parade and I never really thought I would. I can't seem to get into 3 Cheers though. I'm also addicted to watching the MCR Loaded I dvr'd. The Famous Last Words video is awesome and schoolboy MCR in I'm Not Ok totally rocks. Most of the MCR fic I'd been seeing involved Mikey/Pete which I just can't get behind because I can't handle Pete with anyone for good except Patrick so I'd been skipping it. But now I'm all over the Frank/Gerard. Love it. I just need to find more long fic. MMmmmm. I've got more youtube videos to watch. Yay!

I love how FOB's Dead on Arrival video makes every early FOB fic canon. It makes me want to squee, believe and then read some more pre-fame FOB fic. Aawww.

OH FOB I love you. They're seriously keeping me young. Patrick I love your strut and your voice. Joe I love you stomping back and forth on that stage. Never stop. Pete you worked that vest, but oil tankers what? Andy look at your tattoos! And hair! The best part had to be the backstage interview with Aamer(?) Haleem. "Its Patrick....and members of Fall Out Boy!" Aawwww poor Joe. I love how Patrick is looking around for Pete to do the talking but Pete is all "go for it dude" and then is all proud of him with the shoulder squeezing. Aaaawwww lucky Patrick.

I'm really kicking myself now that we missed almost all of TAI at HCT. Then, I really only knew them for either having William Beckett of the cape and fangs in the 16 candles video or as having the pretty dude in the Snakes on a Plane video as their lead singer. I really loved the Big Mess song and lets not forget the video, oh the acting. LOVE IT. But I didn't know the rest of their songs. Now, having gotten my hands on their two cds and seen the fuse Loaded (best show ever). I'm kicking myself. They are wonderful. William Beckett you rock that band, that name and those hips. Their AP interview is awesome - awesomely hilarious. Now for the fic.....

I also think its hilarious that half of their videos are a Where's Waldo of FOB. They're everywhere!

So, the concert was more than 2 weeks ago, but I still want to keep track of my memories so here they are prompted by notes I took the next morning- ( May 30th HCT ).

Falling in love with a new fandom has inspired me to try again with my failed lj. Bandom has done it. I've been pulled in by the amazing stories and the wonderfulness of Patrick and Pete themselves. Yay for a new fandom!

I'm failing at lj! I finally got one so I could comment and particiapte in all the fandoms I've merely been stalking but......being all lazy and obsessed with the just all the reading.
